How To Clean Your Garbage Disposal
The garbage disposal is arguably one of life's greatest inventions. In a matter of seconds, you can dispose of miscellaneous foods without having to leave them to sit in your trash can to smell up your kitchen.
However, given the quantity and types of foods we often put down our garbage disposals, they don't always go without some stenches and scents of their own.
Next time you notice a not-so-pleasant odor coming out of your kitchen sink, here's how to give your garbage disposal a quick DIY clean to help keep your drain clear and your kitchen smelling fresh:
1) Pour 1/2 cup of baking soda into the garbage disposal
2) Pour 1/2 cup of vinegar in next
3) Place the sink stopper or other covering on the drain for 3-5 minutes
4) Remove the stopper and flush the disposal with hot water while the disposal runs
Repeat this process as needed!
